Montoya Rainey, WHNP-BC

Meet Nurse Rainey

Montoya Rainey, WHNP-BC is a native Iowan but has lived much of her life in Texas.  She was raised primarily in the North Dallas area, attended Richardson ISD schools, and graduated from L.V. Berkner High School in 2000.  

Montoya has worked in various capacities of healthcare spanning across numerous areas including pediatrics and women’s health to name a few.  In 2003, Montoya became a registered sonographer specializing in OBGYN, which sparked her love for women’s health.  After obtaining her RN degree from TWU (go Pioneers) in 2015, she jump-started her career at Baylor Scott & White Dallas Medical Center in women’s services, including antepartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery.  This not only increased her passion for the nursing profession, but also spurred her enthusiasm to care for adolescents and women.  Montoya chose to pursue her advanced nursing education and received her master’s degree from TWU with a concentration in women’s health women’s health in 2021.  “Toya,” as she is affectionately called, continues to be a strong advocate for the health of all women.

Montoya resides in Rowlett, TX, is married, has three beautiful children and a puppy named Benji.  Outside of work, Montoya loves spending time with family, friends, crafting, cooking, and reading.
